Aubrey, CVT

Aubrey is our head technician who is a licensed Certified Veterinary Technician working for us full-time. She earned her degree through San Juan College, making this her third degree. Aubrey worked in the veterinary field for 10 years before joining Loving Paws spending 6 years working in emergency medicine and critical care and 4 years in small animal practice. Her primary interests are: nursing care, dentistry, pain management, and minimal restraint, low stress handling techniques. Aubrey strives to provide patients with a low stress experience through TLC and gentle handling.

In her spare time, Aubrey enjoys target shooting, hiking with her dogs, Odie, Maximus, and Sunny, and enjoying country living. She also shares her home with Jon, her husband and love of her life, her daughter Cheyenne, plus three birds, Elmo, Lewis, and Clark. In the summer months Aubrey and her family love to be out on the water swimming, boating, and canoeing. They also enjoy growing a large garden and canning vegetables.

Katie, Veterinary Assistant

Katie is our full time veterinary assistant. She’s a recent graduate  in Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with hopes of attending veterinary school. In her time at the U of I, she has taken many companion animal courses and has loved every minute! Katie has also worked on multiple research trials at the UIUC dairy farm. As a farm girl, she loves any opportunity to work with livestock, especially cattle. With her mother being a nurse and her father being a farmer, Katie likes to think that veterinary medicine is the best of both worlds.

When she’s not at work, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends, treating herself to dinner at any of her favorite Mexican restaurants, or watching The Office. She has one little cat named Bug that keeps her on her toes.

Emma, Veterinary Assistant

Emma is one of our part time veterinary assistants. She recently graduated from the University of Illinois in Animal Sciences with the hopes of getting into vet school. While attending undergraduate school, she worked with the research dairy cattle.

Originally from Illinois, she recently moved back after her family returned from Massachusetts. Her family has moved around several times, and Emma has even attended school for a few years in Hungary. She now lives in the Champaign area with her two cats, Bella and Boo, whom she adores. They like to wake her up in the early hours of the morning to be fed.

Hayley, Veterinary Assistant

Hayley is one of our part time veterinary assistants. She is currently a senior at the University of Illinois in Animal Sciences. Her goal is to get into vet school and fulfill her dream of being a veterinarian. She really enjoys dentistry medicine and wants to specialize in dentistry and be a pet dentist.

Hayley loves greyhounds and Australian Shephards and has one of each at home with her family. She lives in the Champaign area with her boyfriend and her precious rabbit, Buttons.

Myeshia is one of the part-time receptionists at Loving Paws. You’ll usually see her greeting you in the afternoons. From a young age, Myeshia knew she had to work with animals. She grew up taking care of various animals including geese and chickens. She’s now a 20 something year old and knows she truly has a passion for animals, especially puppies.

She is a proud fur mama of four animals: Huncho (a pit bull), Angel (a lab) Alfredo aka Allie (a cat) and finally the “baby” of the family is Callie (a cat). In her free time, Myeshia runs a pet sitting business, cuddles puppies, and spends time with her family. Her future goal is to have her own doggy day care business and be a professional dog trainer.

Gracie is our new part time receptionist. She's recently moved her from Oregan with her husband and is still getting used to our Illinois weather.

She has two Boston Terriers named Cinnamon and Sebastian that keep her busy.

Alysa is our groomer that joined us in 2019. She loves being able to transform a scruffy pet into a masterpiece. Although dogs are her speciality, Alysa can also groom cats.

She lives in the Rantoul area with her husband and their two dogs, Rakan and Xayah. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and boating with her family.
